Be careful of the things you wish for, as you probably don’t have a hope in hell, of getting near the things you scan the sky for. Have you anything expendable to sell? I hope your bitter friends don’t find you. I Hope you lead them all astray. I hope your bitter friends don’t find you. C’os you’re already half a life away. Tired of all the politics around you. Tired of all the knives aimed at your back. Who to trust and who to bare your teeth to? Cutting endless wire asleep in bed.

Snakes 04:28
In this place we shed our skin, try to cleanse ourselves within So the outside dirt won’t stick. We are colour polished dreams, and are never what we seem. You and I are strangers to this land - never worry ‘bout the world outside. You and I are strangers to this land - never worry ‘bout the world outside. Sometimes we will cut our hands, make blood maps of our plans Some lovely wounds to lick. And sometimes we will jump and bite Sometimes vanish in the night, it doesn’t matter what we do. You and I are strangers to this land - never worry ‘bout the world outside. You and I are strangers to this land - never worry ‘bout the world outside. Oh, we feel much better. Oh, we feel alright, Oh, we feel much better. In the cool of night. You and I are strangers to this land - never worry ‘bout the world outside. You and I are the last of the absurd - never worry ‘bout the world outside.

And we all fall down; laugh at the latest from the clowns Stuck under an elephant that they won’t see, it’s as crazy as it sounds. And they’re all the same. Flash crazy eyes as they self-harm. Building a perfect storm; while insisting there’s no cause for alarm. Hard to fight a culture war, when confused by what you’re standing for. Too much chaos in the ranks upsets the corporates and the banks. Still put the party first. Hope the ceiling can hold up lead balloons. There’s a hunger and a thirst but all of the fizz went flat too soon. Don’t they love internal war, fight with feet nailed to the floor. No time to stop, think and reflect with diminished intellect. So he runs home to the wife. To embrace the easy life. Breathe a sigh and close the door. Money’s easy, make some more.

Dryface 04:27
Forgot to celebrate. The world turned normal. Had to climb out of my sleep today. What I want is try to add some flavour, colour myself in and watch my face dry. Today. I’ll walk away. Come what may, I’ll walk away. Bit my hand at the new court jester. Had to find some vitriol to smile. Not concerned by what my peers turn into, Couldn’t give a monkey for their simian style. Today. I’ll walk away. Come what may, I’ll walk away. It’s a merciful release. Walking streets when bathed in gold. And it’s there for the taking. It’s a merciful release.

Bed Of Nails 04:53
Tie you down to a decision. We are element like air. Tie you down with cold precision. In your dreams. You’ll find me there. And I don’t know anymore. The things you’re keeping in your head. And I don’t know anymore. The things you’re keeping in your head. Tie you down. To a bed of nails. I will wake and burst your dreams. Tie you down. To a bed of nails. I will wake… And I don’t know anymore. The things you’re keeping in your head. And I don’t know anymore. The things you’re keeping in your head. And you know there’s something wrong. In the cold, dark night outside. And you know there’s something wrong. Won’t you help me? C’os it’s all wrong. And I don’t know anymore. The things you’re keeping in your head. And I don’t know anymore. The things you’re keeping in your head.

Live life with no consequence, awkward with your influence. And take offence. Live life through a permafrost, stiff and stubborn at what cost? Who have you lost? And there’s no coming back from a shark attack. No turn unstoned. You’re done, this time we’re through – a re-run we won’t do. No turn unstoned. Experts in nothing at all, blunted senses, you appal. A fast lane crawl. Deny it but we see the signs, nothing about you is benign. Poison everytime. And there’s no coming back from a shark attack. No turn unstoned. You’re done, this time we’re through – a re-run we won’t do. No turn unstoned. Do you ever see the damage trailing in your wake? Self-obsessed and on the take? There is no more time that we’re prepared to waste on you. You’re all but ghosts we see straight through.

Don’t they love the light, they dazzle; flash-boy outfits Shapes and shadows, mirror balls. At the edges with godivas, smothered monkeys, Crash course for the ravers, let it snow. Won’t you give me something? Won’t you give me something else? Pearly Kings and silver jeans forever. Well, her ship of fools is holed and truly sunken All the skeletons one never knows All the careless men so numbed and lost and drunken Get the paparazzi on their toes. Won’t you give me something? Won’t you give me something else? Pearly Kings and silver jeans forever.

Underground 03:45
What did they want? Leaving the car crash on the front. The night ripped to rags, from all the red flags, what did they want? Where did they go? Missing the beat, go with the flow. Fleeing the scene with ridiculous dreams. And no one with them is quite what they seem. We’re on the make but there’s nothing to take in the underground. See the deep fake trying hard not to break in the underground. Getting away. Reading their lips to save the day. Screaming in tongues at the top of their lungs, they’re getting away. Too much at stake – altering states to stay awake, Emotions confused and thinking diffused Desperately looking for someone to use. We’re having dreams made by vivid machines in the underground. Nothing to lose what you give we refuse in the underground.

You stared transfixed to the place where I stood. And I never said the things that I could. You wanted to run, you wanted to hide, but I couldn’t go. It’s colder inside. You were unsure because of the time. And I knew the ways there were of making you mine. You wanted to run, you wanted to hide, but I couldn’t go. It’s colder inside. You wanted to run, you wanted to hide, but I couldn’t go. It’s colder inside. And oh… won’t you worry. Away from me. oh… won’t you worry. Away. They’re coming around to take you away. They’ve got a lot of games that they want you to play. Gonna mess around inside your mind, they’ve got a lot of filth that they’re expecting to find, So get in the car.........

Side-stepping one. Side-stepping two. Poisonous words. Damaged points of view. Let’s hope that love will help us to swallow the pain. We need to give more. Ready to go on again. Get up now, what did you say? Take this away, what did you say to me? No good now, what did you say? Take it away, what did you say? what did you say to me? What do you fear? Why are your walls built so high? Surely with me, it shouldn’t be so hard to try? So cool, so tense. What are you trying to prove? This doesn’t make sense – give up a win just to lose. Get up now, what did you say? Take this away, what did you say to me? No good now, what did you say? Take it away, what did you say? What did you say to me?
